Participation in Intel® Liftoff Africa AI Hackathon 2023

The event was a significant milestone for us as we delved deep into the realm of Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI. It provided an ideal platform to propel African startups to greater heights and aligns perfectly with our mission to revolutionize healthcare. In recent years, we've witnessed an impressive surge in deep tech startups, particularly in AI/ML and Computer Vision, which now represent a substantial percent of Africa's deep tech ecosystem. Intel recognized the enormous potential in this emerging landscape and is dedicated to advancing Africa's digital frontier through the Digitalize Africa Strategic Program.
One of the highlights of the Hackathon was our access to Intel Supercomputing resources. This unique opportunity allowed us to rigorously test our AI models, harnessing the immense computational power offered by Intel. It's safe to say that our models have undergone significant refinement and optimization thanks to this experience.
But the benefits didn't stop there. The Hackathon provided us with a valuable platform to connect with potential investors who share our vision for the future of healthcare in Africa. The networking opportunities were invaluable, allowing us to forge partnerships that will drive our mission forward.
Meeting with fellow Intel AI developers was a true highlight. It was an inspiring experience as we exchanged ideas, insights, and innovations that are shaping the future of AI in Africa. Collaborations sparked at this event have the potential to drive groundbreaking advancements in various fields.
While the Hackathon was a competition, it was also about collaboration, learning, and forging connections. Top contenders had the chance to pitch their ideas to Intel Ignite experts, opening doors to global recognition and access to invaluable resources.
